Bemojake is an independent publishing project initiated by Maxwell Anderson. Working as the assistant to Chris Boot since 2008, Anderson created Bemojake as a way to manifest his own work in books, as a side project to making books with Chris Boot Ltd. In May 2010 Bemojake released Anderson's first book, See You Soon. Then, it was back to work for Chris, producing the books Infidel by Tim Hetherington, Maske by Phyllis Galembo, Where Children Sleep by James Mollison, and San Francisco Berlin by Stefan Ruiz.

As of January 2011, Chris Boot has been appointed the director of the Aperture Foundation, New York. This means that Maxwell will be taking over management of Chris Boot Ltd, but also allows more time for Bemojake to produce new books.

Bemojake will now be
working in collaboration
with artists to publish limited
edition art books (and
more).

We will also be distributing
self-published books in
London to help
self publishers abroad
reach a wider
audience.
